We organize and run exclusive, professionally guided safaris in Africa, with a focus on East Africa. Our signature safari is the quintessential experience, and includes several destinations using our perfected mobile tented camp as well as one to three stays in small lodges or permanent tented camps. The mobile camp is always set up in private sites, exclusively for our guests on each safari, and consists of Howard’s own bay of tents, furniture, and accessories from The Original Ker & Downey Safaris.
Throughout a safari we spend much of our time observing wildlife on game drives, exploring, and interacting with local communities. Depending on our guests’ desires, we also find plenty of time to relax in the shade and enjoy a glass of wine or a cold beer – or we engage in more adventurous activities such as hot air ballooning, horseback riding, and fishing. We have long standing relationships with several research and conservation projects, and often liaise with researchers in the field for impromptu talks or more formal lectures. We have taken our guests to trek with the mountain gorillas and chimpanzees many times, and can easily incorporate a climb of Mt. Kenya or Mt. Kilimanjaro for a particularly active trip!
